Aabroo is the story of Mala. The Mala who set her fire to her own life to protect her family’s name and maintain their respect. She sacrificed her own love.
Her father, Raisaheb Bansidhar spent most of his life in Africa and in his youth had a very colourful life. Mala was the product of his colorful youth. Nevertheless, Mala was unaware of this secret. She lived in his house as an obedient daughter and considered Raisaheb to be her father.
Life was passing by but suddenly, mischievous Ganpat returned to Lucknow from Africa. Ganpat would always take advantage of Raisaheb’s weakness and he was here with the same motives but Raisaheb responded curtly.
The fire of revenge was boiling in his blood and he blackmailed to spill Raisaheb’s evil deeds to the world. He met Mala at a hotel in Nainital. Listening to the deeds of her gentry of a father left Mala utterly astounded. Ganpat made a deal to get Rs. 10000 in a month and left from Nainital.
On the same night, a wealthy Ashok saw Mala dancing in Kanpur and fell head over heels for her. With the blessings of their parents, their marriage got fixed. The day of the wedding came and songs of happiness were being sung in both the homes. But fate had different plans. At the end moment, Ganpat showed up at the wedding and demanded the Rs. 10000. Mala, who would do anything to protect the honor of the family, handed her wedding dress and jewelry to Ganpat and leaped in front of a car approaching from the dark to end her life. This car belonged to Ashok’s mother. She saved Mala’s life and deeming it an emergency took Mala to her place.
Coincidentally, the house where Mala was going to be welcomed as a bride, she was working there as an ordinary servant. The next day, arrangements for Ashok’s wedding took place and the wedding party was ready!
